S-Plastics Ultem resin series amorphous thermoplastic polyetherimide (PEI) resins have excellent heat resistance, high strength and rigidity, and a wide range of chemical resistance. Ultem offers transparent and opaque custom colors and glass fill levels. In addition, Ultem copolymers can meet higher thermal, chemical and elastic requirements.Ultem resin uniquely balances mechanical and processing properties, providing design engineers with excellent flexibility and freedom.
PEI characteristics:
Adding glass fiber, carbon fiber or other fillers can achieve the purpose of strengthening and modification.
S-Plastics Ultem PEI 1010 is transparent, enhanced flow Polyetherimide (Tg 217C). ECO Conforming, UL94 V0 and 5VA listing. US FDA and EU Food Contact compliant, NSF 51 listing. Effective June 2007, this grade will no longer be supported with biocompatibility information and should not be used for medical applications which require biocompatibility. Alternative grade HU1010.
