Glass fiber reinforced PA66 offers exceptional wear resistance, thermal stability, electrical properties, mechanical strength, and dimensional stability. These characteristics make it suitable for automotive components, textile machinery, pump impellers, and precision engineering parts.
Processing conditions require careful attention:
Drying: 85°C hot air or 105°C vacuum drying for 12 hours (humidity >0.2%)
Melt temperature: 260-290°C (275-280°C for glass-filled grades)
Mold temperature: 80°C recommended for optimal crystallinity
Injection pressure: 750-1250 bar (material and design dependent)
Injection speed: High velocity (reduced for reinforced materials)
Gate design: Minimum diameter 0.5×part thickness (0.75mm for submerged gates)
