Biodegradable plastics include photodegradable, disintegratable, and fully biodegradable types. Photodegradable and disintegratable plastics are made from conventional polymers and break down partially, while biodegradable plastics are produced from biomass (e.g., plant fibers, starch) and can decompose completely. Raw materials for biodegradable plastics include PLA, PHA, PGA, PBS, PBAT, and PCL. Common products include disposable tableware, films, express bags, clothing, and 3D printing materials. These materials are increasingly used in packaging, agriculture, medical applications, and textiles.
